Sharing information with Drug Companies

As someone who has worked in the field of mental health for the last 30 years I feel we should be very concerned by the Government’s proposals to share information from NHS medical records with drug companies. The collaboration, or should I say collusion, between the NHS and the drug companies over the years has only served to entrap people within a mental health system that is entrapped itself. It is complete nonsense to say confidentiality can be preserved when we know that the power of computers is now such that the small needles in a haystack can be located instantly.

The Thomas Shop

Welcome to the blog page for the Thomas Shop. We are a tourism attraction in Mid Wales that has been developed around the restoration of a set of listed buildings in Penybont, near Llandrindod Wells, Powys. Some section of the buildings date back to at least the 16th century and they have all now been sensitively restored over a 10 year period. We have restored the ‘shop’, which was the 1805 refurbishment, and is a museum shop with a truely wonderful collection of artifacts many of which have been donated by a hugely supportive public.  We also have galleries supporting local makers and the Wool Emporium that celebrates wool and wool products. There are workshops available to lease, and we also provide B&B and Self-Catering accommodation all supported by a tea room that has a mouthwatering selection of home made goodies.

Opening times are 10.00 a.m. to 5.00p.m. every day between April and October and on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday on other months. We are closed from Christmas Eve through January.
